This is one of my first attempts at making a leather flower, using multiple two pedal sections formed together as a single piece and then attached to an artificial flower stem I had around. I used a combination of dyed and a light light feathering of paint to brighten the edges and darken the center in an attempt to give the piece a more natural look. From there the whole thing is mounted via a black rubber cork which keeps the flower stable, and more importantly, keeps the black sand in the vase from going eevvveeerrryyywhere.
