This is a black soft leather jerkin that I made myself, with hard leather plates riveted to make the spine. It is all hand punch and hand sewn, hem included, and I have a nice black linen lining in is as well because I figured if something was worth doing, it was worth doing right the first time. It came out nicely, and due to the fact that all the stitching was done with a thick nylon thread, it’ll last me for years to come with little to no maintenance other than a quick wipe down with shining/conditioning solution.
